Restrained in Rajasthan, MP, Gujarat, relief for 'Padmavat' in these states
A major relief for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavat' is reported from Himachal and Uttar Pradesh. Just a day after the decision to not show the BJP-ruled Gujarat film, it has been reported that the film has got a green signal from Uttar Pradesh. Also, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has said that he is not in favor of banning the film. The decision of not banning the film was taken by the Goa government recently. Although Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and now Gujarat's BJP governments have upheld the decision to ban 'Padmavat' in their state.The new threat comes from Chittorgarh, now the government, which is soft about the ban on the film.
